2019 Year-End and 2020 Updates

Presented by Martin Rule, CPA CEBS

Every year, changes in the tax environment have some impact on year-end employment tax reporting. Recent developments should be considered in your planning as 2019 comes to a close.

This half-day training session will help prepare you to have a successful yearend by reviewing:

  • Impacts of the new 2020 form W-4 on Federal withholding and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act continues to affect payroll.
  • Updates on 2019 changes to relevant tax laws, regulations, and W-2 reporting requirements.
  • Payroll complexities, common errors, and potential planning considerations associated with executive compensation, nonqualified deferred compensation and successor employer transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations.

Participants will explore ways to reduce the costs of year-end employment tax reporting errors, learn about potential refund opportunities, and prepare for future organizational transactions.

Please print the presentations below ahead of time and bring them with you.  Check back for the presentations the week of the meeting.  Hard copies of the handouts will not be provided.
